The Essence of Yoga

lies in the practice of self-study...

However, getting started can be a challenge.

This interactive retreat is designed to guide you into self-study that is accessible and practical. You will form a commitment to mindfulness that encourages the release of attachments and conditioning that create static in everyday life.

Our conversations and activities are guiding steps to releasing the ties that bind us to our past so that we may open to the present and move towards the future centered, steady and with ease. This weekend includes discussions alongside a workbook, yoga, meditation and quiet/free time at a cozy group getaway, New Water Farms, on Lake Martin, AL.

Our self-exploration and self-discovery will follow the study of:

Sankalpa (intention) | Samskara (habitual patterns) | Tapas (intensity & perseverance) and more.

This includes a workbook with follow up emails and activities to stay connected and do at your own pace.

The material from the finding home course is incredibly insightful. After the first weekend retreat, I felt immediately connected with the other participants and fully supported by Annie and Emilie. Though it’s been many months since the last meeting, I still pick up the workbook and value the information and exercises it contains; I expect this will last indefinitely. The course is well worth the investment both for people who are new to self development as well as those with years of personal development work.

Finding Home is a beautiful journey towards finding yourself. The activities and discussions were gentle reminders of how essential self-study is. The retreat location, nourishing meals, yoga and meditation practices take you to natural place of self-care. I learned more about myself and made some wonderful friendships along the way. Thank you Annie and Emilie!

The Finding Home retreat and course allowed me to dig deeper into my shadow work and find my way to the light. It was a perfectly safe space to shed my many layers of ‘skin’ and connect to myself in a true and meaningful way. I never realized that my HOME was inside of me all along. It taught me to sit in the discomfort of change and allow the work to happen on its own, instead of according to my schedule and my idea of perfection. I am so excited to attend the Finding Home program again and see how much has changed and grown on a deep, personal level. Annie and Emilie created an amazing experience that changed my life and helped me jumpstart my healing process. I highly reccomend this journey to anyone looking for answers about themself! 💜💜
